Is FP Prepone possible
If possible, can someone tell me if you had to call them in advance to go before your scheduled date for your FP. I am in a similar situation where I am travelling to India on 11/14 and the appointment is on 11/17. I do not want to postpone the appointment as it might take a long time to receive again.
If you had to call can some one tell me which number to call. All my receipts, EAD and appointment were received from TSC and the ASC field office is in Tampa, FL. If you did not have to call, then do we just go there in the morning and have our FP done. Any inputs appreciated.

Thanks IV for your efforts on this. This is jsut personal, but I do find the timing too much of a coincidence. My thought would be related to the increase in filing fees aspect that will now net USCIS a goldmine in terms of huge filings.
Is there a timeline we can figure out that would allow for most filings to go through at the old fee structure?
That would net some savings for filers who have multiple dependents.

I do not see any reason why uscis cannot give 3 year extension with ONLY 485 receipt and I-140 case number printout. With these, USCIS should be able to determine the priority dates and whether the person is retrogressed or not.
An actual case would be helpful.
I spoke to a reputable attorney and they said its possible to get 3 years extn. using the case number screen shot.

As of now, we have 72 guests and 494 members online. I understand that some of the guests are already members and have just not logged in. My EAD expiring on September 9th, 2010. I applied June 16th 2010, Notice date 23rd June 2010.
I have not received anything so far. I have India travel planned on August 27th.
My worry is if I receive Finger printing notice when I am in India, what will I do?
USCIs expedite request denied because 75 days not over yet.
What are my options? Losing my sleep over this. Pls answer..

If the doctor's office can give you claim codes, fine. Otherwise, you gotta do it yourself. Just submit the invoice copies with a good cover letter (explaining what it is). I did it with my insurance company and it went through smoothly. They treated our immigration medical exams as usual annual physical exams which are fully covered. Immunizations (i.e., vaccinations) are fully covered as well.

I forgot to mention that i was already on h1 before so i dont fall under H1CAP. This is the reason i applied for H1 from h4 as previously i was on H1B
You are not subject to H1 cap, since you had been on H1 status in last 6 years. However, H1 portablity applies only for H1-to-H1 transfer.
Your H1 petition is approved. You need to get H1 visa from consulate.

I guess this community is not for willful violators like you. Here we are trying to share information from/for people who follow rules. There are many people (anti-immigration lobbyist and anti-H1b lobby) reading this forum. This will give impression as if this forum is for giving advise to people like you who do not care for the law and will give bad name to IV. I guess you should cough up some money and get advise from a good immigration lawyer. Also, I would suggest a moderator or administrator to look into this matter adn have this thread removed.

Yes, my presence in the past violated the immigration law, but it was due to circumstances that were out of my control. Your description of my story as "willful" violation is very judgmental and sounds like you feel righteous. But I bet you personally know someone who may have been out of status for one reason or another and I wonder if you are this confrontational and heartless with the person.
If you don't have words of encouragement or constructive feedback, then I suggest that you worry about your own. It doesn't take too much to get out of status given the current immigration system nowadays.

Tell him that this is NOT India or any other country where they can do 10 things to get votes. I heard this from one guy who is on EAD and thinks something will happen in the election year. purely ludacris..
it means you don't have any experience in US politics, your relative is right election year is going to play some rule in immigration politics, democrats are pitching of hispanic votes they will try to do everything possible to get their vote, but main concern here is American public are against increase in any form of immigration. so odds are itz going to be counter productive for us as our case always depends on illegals.
so your relative is right but itz better for you to change job and get along with your life, if they laws are changed for better you can start your GC with new company and get it without losing lot of time, if not atleast your going to make good money

My husband's H1B is over on 22nd February 2008. Now he trying to file AC21 with another company. Is there any way he can apply for H1B transfer with that company as couple of weeks already passed? Appreciate your help.

I was thinking about that as well...but I have minor problems that might not be solved within July so it better for me to apply in August.
