    Restated much?

    Anyway, good news. :)

I can only say one thing, after seeing another quarter of spectacular numbers by Apple...Dell's days are numbered. I would shut it down and give the money back to shareholders...

Oh yeah, the game is over. This will be seen as Obama doing what Bush could not, no matter what. Everyone at Fox News has to be crying in their beer right now.

No. It's still the economy stupid.

After the Month of Kernel Bugs, are you concerned about Mac OS X security?

    No - 62%

See, that bugs me. Everyone should be concerned about security. I believe OS X's overriding security feature is obscurity, and once that situation changes I can see the OS falling over very quickly.

One of the weakest links in the chain is the user, and if the user is not concerned then you have a problem.

Dont get me wrong, I think OS X is great, but it just hasn't been "weathered" in the wild like Windows has. If OS X becomes a viable target then we're in for a bumpy ride.

some of you guys make little sense.

-you love apple computers thus the reason why you're here. you defend its price point v. PCs, flaunt the virtues of its beautiful, well thought out OS

yet you guys have so little faith to pretty much say that apple is going to screw the pooch by releasing the next mba with inferior graphics performance? what are you, insecure?

your mba right now is the top dog, but as they say the king is dead, long live the king. i'm looking forward to the update and i'm a 13 ultimate owner. i of all people should wanna put down the next version since i paid $2K out the door for this thing brand spanking new. hahahah we don't even know if it's june or nov or what yet you guys are totally dogging on vaporware. ahahaa

but i won't. never will. innovate, mega corporation, innovate!

It didn't take my 10 year old son long to figure out that he could continue to download apps after asking me to download one for him. Now, if he wants a free app, I wait for it to finish downloading and then i log out of my account before i hand his touch back to him!

I'm sorry, if you struggle to lose weight, you're not doing it right. Losing weight is dead easy.
Just like quitting smoking is dead easy for some people but really difficult for others? My gran after 50+ years of chain smoking just simply stopped. She says she had no problem, just didn't feel like spending to money anymore. I smoke about 5 cigs a day since the age of 13 and still struggling to quit.

Different people are all different. Some people find it very difficult to loose weight, whether that has something to do with a so-called 'fat gene' or just addictive personalities who are addicted to unhealthy foods, I have no idea. But what one person finds difficult, another person will have no problem with.

And the same with opinions on what is good/bad. It's easy to take mick out of people who are happy to be fat or are into fat people, but hey... whatever floats your boat. All they simply are is different. I like ginger/redhead women. dXTC likes his women large. Donna likes food. Everyone is different.

Nope. I see every issue from the consumer perspective - as I should (being a consumer). Any other perspective would be an abomination (unless for those who hold tons of AAPL shares).
Phrases like "in Apple's eyes" is a good example of what I am talking about. Apple does not use iPhones, consumers do. Consumer eyse are the only eyes that matter. And that is exactly why people are switching to Android. If Apple cares more about what they think is right than what I think is right (for me) it would be stupid for me to care about what Apple thinks or does.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. You say that it would be stupid for you to care about what Apple thinks or does, yet you're on here berating them left and right. It makes zero sense to me.

Consumer eyes do matter and that's who Apple builds devices for. They don't build them for the spec junkie who has to have everything in the spec list checked off. They want people to have a great experience on their device in areas that matter in their mind.

I doubt that but even if that was the case then what? Every other phone manufacturer on the planet can design a phone that has LTE and Apple could not? Because they spend on R&D much less than any other hi-tech company of comparable size?

It is definitely true currently. No chip supports LTE and the other specifications (CDMA, GSM) yet.

Apple certainly can design a phone that supports LTE, but getting good battery life out of it is another thing. This is an area of focus for Apple so they won't make compromises here.

That kind of sounds like something Bill Gates would say (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pP0_uN42P44). :p

(Didn't see the video as of yet)

    Absolutely no.

I hate the way windows looks in its default configuration. It is too shiny; too glossy and I just cannot get it to work. I have to go to windows 98 style to get back to normal functioning.

As for my comment, I simply mean that Apple needs to move beyond the grey effect and introduce another colour set or sets of UI elements. I like this. :)

    Major Dislike As Of Now

I hate the way they are transitioning to non-Lucida Grande type fonts. See 'Day', 'Week', 'Month' text fonts. I absolutely don't like this.

They are already out in the wild. How do I know? Read below :)

I was in a restaurant in the bay area earlier this week when a lady walked in to pick up her takeout. She was yakking on a white iPhone. I got a nice look at it from about 3-4 feet away. It wasn't a black iPhone with a white cover, it was clearly a white iPhone with no cover. Saw the silver Apple logo and the engravings very clearly. It did strike me as odd, but I haven't been tracking all-things-apple closely, so didn't know if the white iPhone was in the market or not.

And yes, it could be that the lady had paid mega bucks to get a custom white skin, but that honestly seems more far fetched.

You realise that it's been possible to buy the conversion kits to make your iPhone 4 white for over 6 months right?

Again, the chosen word was "envisionned". This is purely an Intel tech that Apple had a big role in. The way Chuppa Chuppa initially phrased it reversed the roles, making this an Apple tech that Intel was tasked with implementing.

I have no qualm with Apple's big role in the tech, but they didn't "envision" it at all and to claim as such is to rewrite history.

Both of you have yet to provide evidence to the contrary.

Quoted from the Engadget article "Engadget has learned -- thanks to an extremely reliable source -- that not only is Apple complicit in the development of Light Peak, but the company actually brought the concept to Intel and asked them to create it"

You are looking at the "evidence" but refuse to see it. No idea if it is accurate - but it is in print.

I had the same thing happen to me for a $5 app I didn't even want. They told me to turn on the shopping cart...I was on iPad and there is no shopping cart...but there should be one.

With an iPad they told you to turn in the shopping cart? The shopping cart hasn't existed (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1915?viewlocale=en_US) since iTunes 9: "Note: With iTunes 9.0 or later, only 1-click purchasing is available." They recommend the wish list instead, but that's much less convenient--and you have to do add things yourself rather than having them automatically go there instead of purchasing them.

Ample supply of 64 Verizon at SCP for no, but was told by the mall cop that we were not allowed to "loiter" and he told everyone in the back of the line to leave or we would be forced to leave. Real nice.
